    Moko is an explorer. As he travels the world continent by continent, he makes many friends and discovers many natural phenomena which sometimes delight him, and other times scare him. Each animated episode recounts an adventure and takes an "original story" approach to explaining these natural phenomena. In this episode, on this morning, Moko is rowing relentlessly to bring back the barge as Mei-Lei sleeps. Suddenly the current shirts, he can't seem to make the oar move at all. He wakes Mei-Lei so she can help him row, but it is no use, the barge starts moving in the opposite direction. In the distance they notice a fisherman and try to call out to him, but he is too far and cannot hear them. Beyond a huge boulder they see a forest and start rowing furiously in its direction. Finally ashore, Moko and Mei-Lei think that the sea still had another secret in store for them, this new part of Mei-Lei's island.

In this episode, as the stars twinkle in the night sky, Moko is thinking of his village. Totemie asks him if she can join him in his quest for the end of the world. The next morning they leave Totemie's village and find their way to a desert where they find strange mountains and a bizarre twisting valley, deep and narrow, that seems to go on forever. A man crosses their path and tells them that only the pure of heart and courageous ever find the end of the deep valley. Filled with courage they set off to find it. Moko plays his flute and the mountains echo leads their way through the canyon's maze.

    Moko is an explorer. As he travels the world continent by continent, he makes many friends and discovers many natural phenomena which sometimes delight him, and other times scare him. Each animated episode recounts an adventure and takes an "original story" approach to explaining these natural phenomena. In this episode, one morning, Totemie takes Moko to pick wild mushrooms used for medicine by her people. There is a particularly rare one she is hoping to find. Moko suddenly slips in a crevice. Totemie runs to her village to get an old man who tells her that she should join Moko. When she does, Moko and Totemie discover an enormous cave filled with lakes in a rainbow of colors. They follow a stream that eventually becomes a river and on the river's bank they find the old man who is waiting for them. Before they leave to go back to the village, the old man asks them to keep this magical cave a secret and to keep the memory of it safe in their mind.

In this episode, having managed to get away from the iceberg, Moko and Alarick are moored in the peaceful bay and they decide to fish. They disembark and go off to find branches to make fishing lines. But when they return, the water level has gone down and their boat is beached and the sea is far in the distance. Confused, they go in search of a river, but everything is frozen! Tired and hungry, they return to their boat, which is again floating atop the waves. The sea has returned! Cautious of the rising and falling tide, they take their boat further out to sea and finally throw their lines and catch some fish, convinced that the sea simply wanted to take them to this spot where the fishing would be better.

    Moko is an explorer. As he travels the world continent by continent, he makes many friends and discovers many natural phenomena which sometimes delight him, and other times scare him. Each animated episode recounts an adventure and takes an "original story" approach to explaining these natural phenomena. In this episode, night falls and Moko, having followed the footprints in the snow, reaches the seemingly uninhabited village. He notices a young boy by a shrub who is cutting firewood. He introduces himself as Alarick and invites Moko into his home. Along the way, they hear a great rumbling sound that startles them, like the breath of a monster. Moko wants to go to the source of the noise, thinking it is the reason for the villagers' hiding. Alarick then leads him to the back of the village where he shows him a geyser and a pool of hot water. Moko thinks that Alarick must know a great deal of secrets about this new land and decides to stay a while, the end of the world can wait for now.

Each animated episode recounts an adventure and takes an "original story" approach to explaining these natural phenomena. In this episode, in the middle of the day, the sun gradually vanishes. Moko is frightened and wonders what wizard could do such a thing. With the village wise man, they set out to find the sorcerer who made the sun disappear. They question all the sorcerers they know but fail to find the one responsible for such an act. So they decide to join all the people of their village and the neighboring villages and watch the sky. An old woman watches them, smiling. She explains that when she was a child the same thing happened, but that the world would become normal again. And indeed the sun returned at the end of the solar eclipse. Moko told himself that perhaps the sun was simply tired and for once decided to go off and take a nap.

In this episode, Moko wants to head off and tells Totemie that he must find the end of the world. But a fisherman tells them that no one will find what it is that they seek unless they have passed by the blue holes, or underwater cave. Moko doesn't understand but follows the path of a mysterious and immense blue hole in the middle of the ocean. This is when strange things begin happening. The sea is swirling and the sky changes color. Strange lights appear in front of their raft, then disappear. They get the impression that they are flying high above the ocean, then mysteriously they find themselves back on the beach. Moko remembers his first trip and thinks that this must be the heart of the ocean beating for his old friend.

Sometimes, when he sees the moon rising in the distance like the sun, he thinks that by walking towards the horizon he could get closer and find out more. That way he could even ask the moon itself. During his long walk towards the ever-receding horizon, Moko watches the moon constantly changing shape. Sometimes it's a crescent like a smile, sometimes a disc of light; sometimes it's white, sometimes yellowish. It travels across the sky but you can't see it moving. One night, Moko decides to watch the moon perform its lovely dance among the stars. He figures he'll never reach the horizon, and in fact maybe the moon just wants to put on a show, to be watched more often.

In this episode, continuing their expedition, Moko and Totemie come across a great river. It is so beautiful and so wide that they decide to build a raft and explore it further. A woman who is returning from the fields warns them of a great danger, but it is too late, the current has already carried the raft along its waves. In the distance they can hear a deep rumbling sound, and it seems to be getting closer. As their raft is propelled forward, it is stopped by the edge of a reef just on the edge of a great chasm. The spectacle is so breathtaking that they forget their fear. When they finally manage to reach the shore safely, they thank the river for having kept them safe and having shown them the magnificent view of the waterfall.

In this episode, on that night the tide was low and the boat had been beached. Moko and Alarick were playing percussion and flute to pass the time. Suddenly, it was as if their music was being accompanied by a strange singing. They decided to investigate the source of this strange new sound. Walking along a hilly path in the forest, they were surrounded by hundreds of tall rocks that stood like humans in the dusk. A gust of wind blew and they could once again hear the bizarre song. Frightened at first, Moko and Alarick decided that the rocks were singing as a choir and the joined them with their instruments. When the wind fell, they regained their boat, happy to have participated in the symphony of the singing stones who were probably lonely and wanted to attract visitors.

One morning, a terrible sound shakes the village and as they wonder where it is coming from they see a wave of mud streaming down the mountain and threatening to swallow up the village. Moko approaches the wave of mud and pleads with it to keep the village safe. He remembers that Mei Lei knew how to speak to mountains and takes out the stone she gave him and is about to offer it to the mud as Mei Lei had offered hers to the volcano but Totemie stops him and offers her necklace instead. The village is saved and the mudslide flows into the lake. Moko promises himself to one day give Totemie what is dearest to him.

Concerned that no rain was coming, Moko set out to find a man believed to be a wizard. The man told him to follow the path of the dunes, which would take him to a sea of sand. Moko walked for a long time. Suddenly a strange shape appeared in the distance. It resembled trees surrounding a small pond. But a few steps later he couldn't see it anymore. It had vanished into the immensity of the desert. Moko scanned the horizon again. He turned full circle and once again saw the pretty pond and surrounding trees. He walked toward it slowly, never taking his eyes off it, his heart pounding. This time he reached the edge of the small oasis, relaxed in its freshness and drank.

A beautiful rainbow fills the horizon. Moko would like to take a few colors and bring them back to his village to offer them to a friend. He walks toward the rainbow, but the closer he gets, the more the colors disappear. Disappointed, he heads back home... and the rainbow reappears in the distance. He asks the village wise man how he could take a few colors from the rainbow and make a gift of them to a friend. The wise man tells him it would be better to ask his friend to come look at the beauty of the colors with him. After all, Moko tells himself, the rainbow is too big and doesn't want us to take its colors away. It comes to make the sky more beautiful. It just wants to be admired.

It has been many days now that night has not fallen, and no one seems to be worried. Moko decides to head towards the horizon to see what is keeping the sun from setting and Alarick goes with him. Along the way, Moko tries to lull the sun to sleep with a lullaby from his country. The sun looks like it will set, but stops short and rises again. Perhaps the ocean is frozen at the horizon and is keeping the sun from setting. He decides to ask the fishermen and one of them responds that the world is filled with such mysteries and that it is more precious for him to learn the secrets of his friend than that of the sun.

In this episode, on that morning, Moko was helping his friend and the other villagers to cut firewood to heat their homes. Snow begins to fall, and Alarick tells Moko that it would be best if they went back inside. But Moko wants to learn the secret of the snow. He heads toward the mountain. At the summit, he sees large trees bending in the wind and clouds of snow swirling around in the sky. As he makes his way back down to the village, the storm blocks his way and he can go no further. Moko begs with the mountain to let him through, promising to tell no one the mountain's secret. The storm calms and Moko returns to the village. When Alarick asks him what he has learned, Moko tells him that the mountain's secret is not one that can be revealed.

Looking out to the horizon, he notices a shot of color at the water's surface. He wakes Mei-Lei to ask her what he is seeing. Together they take a barge and set off. Under them, a rainbow of colors is dancing in the waves. Moko and Mei-Lei think that the fish must be organizing a party and decide to dive in. Bit by bit the sun is rising and day is breaking. The two friends return to the village, overjoyed at the wonders of the ocean.

In this episode, as they drift away from the iceberg and are throwing their fishing nets, Moko and Alarick's boat is surrounded by a thick fog. Moko thinks this is smoke and that there must be fire. He cannot even see his friend, just hears his voice telling him that a sudden fog on the ocean can last for a long time and that only patience will save them. Moko thinks that he should not have thrown his net so soon and that the ocean is blindfolding them so they won't see which way it is taking them. Gliding along, they hear some strange sounds and see bizarre shapes in the mist. Alarick begins to play his flute and the fog begins to thin. They discover a lovely bay, sheltered from the wind, ideal for fishing. Moko is filled with admiration for his friend who knew how to tame the ocean.

In this episode, Moko wants to know what lies beyond the forest and decides to go find out. Totemie comes along and after a long walk they find a mountain village. Moko, who hasn't seen the ocean in a long time, is dreaming of seeing it again, but realizes that it will be awhile before they cross this mountain and see the sea. But then, they see boats and barges. Why would there be boats on a mountain? An old man comes to them and tells them that if it is the ocean one seeks, sometimes it can be found even on a mountain. Curious, Moko and Totemie walk on into the forest and discover what can only be an ocean atop the mountain, only here they don't say ocean or sea, but rather they call it a lake. Moko believes that this lake is here in order to console the people who cannot live beside the ocean.

Each animated episode recounts an adventure and takes an "original story" approach to explaining these natural phenomena. In this episode, Mei-Lei takes Moko to the rice fields. The sky is blue and Moko thinks that in this country there just aren't any clouds. Mei-Lei tells him to wait until nightfall, that the rains will dance over the village. Moko doesn't believe her, there isn't a cloud in sight! Suddenly, the sky darkens and Mei-Lei wants to return to the village, but Moko wants to know more. He climbs the hill behind the village to get a better look at the sky. The wind picks up and a great wave of rain washes everything in its wake. Moko and Mei-Lei take shelter from the monsoon behind a rock. To make the rain stop Mei-Lei starts to sing and dance. Bit by bit the rain subsides and the two friends decide to return to the village. Moko thinks that Mei-Lei's dancing was magical and had the power to stop the rain.

    Moko is an explorer. As he travels the world continent by continent, he makes many friends and discovers many natural phenomena which sometimes delight him, and other times scare him. In this episode, it is night time and Moko is watching the shooting stars from Totemie's village and is remembering how he once thought that a lady blew the stars in the sky from the embers of her bonfire. And suddenly, an immense star, a huge ball of fire, appears from the sky and falls to the depths of the forest. Totemie and Moko take off to see where the meteorite has landed and discover that a huge flaming rock has made a hole the size of a volcano's crater in the ground and is setting fire to the forest around it. Totemie is scared that the sky is angry and Moko, who remembers Mei Li begins to dance like she did while playing Alarick's flute. It begins to rain and slowly the flames die down. Moko thinks that the clouds must have seen him dance and heard his flute and come to save his new friend's land.
