    California’s Lava Beds National Monument is a land of turmoil, both geological and historical. Over the last half-million years, volcanic eruptions on the Medicine Lake shield volcano have created a rugged landscape dotted with diverse volcanic features. The monument is also home to more than 700 caves, Native American rock art sites, and historic battlefields from America’s Native American wars.

    Moko is an explorer. As he travels the world continent by continent, he makes many friends and discovers many natural phenomena which sometimes delight him, and other times scare him. Each animated episode recounts an adventure and takes an "original story" approach to explaining these natural phenomena. In this episode, Moko crosses the plains of Siberia and gets his first taste of the cold. After having found shelter in a cave for the night, he wakes to find a carpet of snow stretching out over the landscape as far as his eyes can see. Amazed at first, Moko realizes that he can no longer see his path and find his way. Could he have found the end of the world where distracted travelers get lost? At which point he notices footprints leading to a village.

    The Nakanai Mountains of Papua New Guinea are a remote part of the world, rarely seen by outsiders. Wild Chronicles joins National Geographic Young Explorers grantee Trip Jennings and a team of explorers as they embark on the first known kayaking expedition down the Pandi River from its underground source to the sea. But they must travel through dense jungle and uncharted caves before they can document the islands stunning landscape in hopes of protecting the area for the future.     Moko is an explorer. As he travels the world continent by continent, he makes many friends and discovers many natural phenomena which sometimes delight him, and other times scare him. Each animated episode recounts an adventure and takes an "original story" approach to explaining these natural phenomena. In this episode, Moko wants to head off and tells Totemie that he must find the end of the world. But a fisherman tells them that no one will find what it is that they seek unless they have passed by the blue holes, or underwater cave. Moko doesn't understand but follows the path of a mysterious and immense blue hole in the middle of the ocean. This is when strange things begin happening. The sea is swirling and the sky changes color. Strange lights appear in front of their raft, then disappear. They get the impression that they are flying high above the ocean, then mysteriously they find themselves back on the beach. Moko remembers his first trip and thinks that this must be the heart of the ocean beating for his old friend.

    The Magic School Bus is an award winning animated children’s television series based on the book series of the same title by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen. It is notable for its use of celebrity talent and being both highly entertaining and educational. It's the night of the rock lovers' annual Granite Awards, and Arnold is about to become the first kid ever to win the coveted Rocky Award. He's so excited; all he's been able to eat for weeks are "Seaweedies.” When he arrives for the big event, he’s nervous and orange. Once the class determines that the orange isn't on Arnold's skin, they shrink down to explore what's underneath. They discover that his whole body is made of living cells, and they're all orange.
