    Pandas in China's Wolong Reserve are in danger after an earthquake destroyed part of their habitat. The epic center of the earthquake was just 20 miles from the reserve.     In 1936, Ruth Harkness, a dressmaker from New York, set off to China in search of the rare, elusive giant panda. Her goal was to bring one back alive to New York. She wanted to share the wonder of China's wildlife with the western world.
